I discovered two new wildflowers during my trip to Missouri this year.

The first is called Spring Beauty.

The one above is Wild Sweet William.

Transplants from my son and his wife’s backyard are now planted here.  I think I’ve seen them in this area, but not on my property.  They are loved by deer, which is why my son wanted to plant his garden in pots this year.  He put them on the back deck where the deer can’t eat them, as they did last year.

  1. Delightful pictures..Be interesting to see if these wonderful flowers will grow anywhere and how long do they bloom..You may want to build a small rock garden and transplant a small clump of them..awesome!
