I am thankful for all the plants the deer don’t eat, except I wish they would eat more weeds.  Happy to see they leave the violets and trillium alone, except for an occasional tramping.

I’m most grateful that the deer avoid the Virginia Bluebells.  This one was transferred from a nearby field.  There are three others in the flower bed that only have leaves this year.

If they follow the others I have seen they will naturalize as they did in the photos below.  My friend Barbara and her husband took a drive down by the Shenandoah River where she took these beautiful pictures.
