No one told me how much fun it is to grow giant sunflowers.  I read an article that said stinkbugs prefer them to vegetables, so grew them with that in mind.

So far there have only been the two different insects on the ones above, honey bees, small bumble bees, assorted spiders as well as a variety of insects I can’t identify.

The petals are gone now and the seeds are ripening to become food for the birds.  Maybe the birds will eat a stinkbug along the way.

They are the sentinels of the garden hopefully guarding against the enemies.
