What’s in the garden? What’s in the refrigerator?

Someone gave me okra, so it’s time to make garden soup. When I make it in a big pot, then

there’s usually enough to freeze.

Dried red beans and onions were cooked in a pressure cooker.

Next fresh tomatoes were added to the pot, then yellow squash and carrots.
Chopped Swiss chard came next.

Salsa and Cajun spices put a little zing in the soup.

Last the steamed okra was stirred in and sprinkled with parsley.

The proportions of each ingredient are determined by how much you have, and your taste. Additions of anything else handy usually make it even better.
